SOLID STATE OPTRONICS INTRODUCES NEW AD411 RELAY

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 11, 1997 -- Solid State Optronics, Inc., a leading designer and manufaturer of optically-isolated solid state relays, today introduced their new AD411 solid state relay. The AD411 is a bi-directional, multi-purpose AC/DC output solid state relay designed to replace electro-mechanical relays in general purpose switching applications.

The AD411 is part of SSO's MOSFET-based family of relays and is a double-pole, single-throw, normally-open AC/DC relay. The relay consists of an integrated circuit that drives two rugged source-to-source DMOS transistors which are optically-coupled to a light emitting diode. The output MOS transistors are protected with free wheeling diodes that can handle up to 5.0A inrush current, making the relay ideal for switching lamps and higly inductive loads. The AD411 is also ideal for telecom tip/ring control circuits, robotics, process control, energy management, automatic test equipment, and medical electronics.

As with all Solid State Optronics' products, the AD411 is designed and engineered under the strictest quality guidelines.
