SOLID STATE OPTRONICS INTRODUCES NEW FAMILY OF OPTOCOUPLERS

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 23, 1999 ... Solid State Optronics, Inc. announced the latest addition to its unique spectrum of optically isolated solid-state products today. The SOC600 series of optocouplers is ideal for controlling interface applications, specifically industrial test equipment and medical electronics.

Each member of the SOC600 series consists of an input light emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to an output phototransistor. This optical coupling allows for high isolation levels while maintaining low-level DC signal control capability. The devices are designated SOC 601-604 according to the value of their current transfer ratio (CTR). This provides extra flexibility in circuit design for the customer.

The multifunctional SOC600 series relays are ideal for telecom ring circuitry and switching, current detection, ring and loop detect, industrial testing equipment and medical electronics.

As with all Solid State Optronics products, the SOC600 series has been designed and engineered under the strictest quality guidelines. All components and finished goods undergo rigorous reliability testing and 100% electrical testing. All SSO products are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9000 quality standards.
