Solid State Optronics

SSO was founded in 1982 by Zag Kadah-with a singular goal of developing innovative products for a developing and underserved market. Building on earlier solid state technology, SSO developed proprietary patented technology in SSR design. At its inception, at a time when competitors were touting reduction of manufacture to 13 discrete components, SSO's had only 5-making the SSR easier to assemble, while improving reliability and reducing cost.

This pioneering spirit drives SSO's growth today. SSO was the first company to offer a solid state relay with over-current protection in an ultra-miniature 4 pin SOP package-an achievement acknowledged by the high-technology press. SSO was awarded EPN's 1999 Product of the Year award. We seek to preserve the pioneering soul while pursuing continued growth-assuring Customers of our past and commitment to the future.

Our goal is to become the recognized value leader in miniature, optically isolated semiconductor devices. This mission is validated every day by the faith placed in SSO by our growing list of Customers and our growing international presence.
